On the 0520L out of DEN this morning, right as we called V1 on 34L, the forward cabin chime hit its mark; sterile cockpit stays sterile and hands stay where they belong, but the timing is comic gold. Anyone else have a cabin system with uncanny showmanship, or is our 737 practicing stand-up?
Saw the same “chime at V1” on our -800s until we asked the lead to reseat the forward interphone handset during the before‑takeoff cross‑check; a half‑hooked handset will ping on acceleration. Fixed it most of the time, with the rest being a loose cradle that MX tightened later. Do you see the blue call light with the tone, or just the chime?
